Faye Gilbert is Interim Provost and Dean of the Undergraduate School of Business in the Maine Business School. Prior to joining the UMaine community in March 2019, she served as dean of the College of Business and Economic Development and a professor of marketing at the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Gilbert had been a dean at the University of Southern Mississippi since 2013. She also served as business dean at Radford University and at Georgia College. At the University of Mississippi from 1989–2003, her academic career included promotion to professor, service as Chair of the Senate of the Faculty and as Associate Dean for the MBA. She was honored in 2000 with the university’s outstanding teaching award. In 2016, Dr. Gilbert received the inaugural Dean of the Year Award from Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society. She holds a Ph.D. in marketing with an emphasis in applied statistics from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi.
